Go Ye · our main calling

Good news, made simple.

God made you, loves you, and made a way for you to come home to Him through Jesus. Here it is in four short steps.

The good news in four steps

1

God loves you

You are not an accident. God made you and He wants to know you.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”John 3:16
2

We have all sinned

Sin is going our own way instead of God's. Every one of us has done it, and it separates us from Him.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”Romans 3:23
3

Jesus paid for it

Jesus, God's Son, died on the cross in our place and rose again on the third day. He took what we deserved.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”Romans 6:23
4

Receive Him today

Salvation is a gift. You can't earn it; you receive it by trusting Jesus and making Him Lord of your life.

“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”Romans 10:9

Pray this from your heart

A prayer to begin

“Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for me and rising again. I turn from my sin and I trust You as my Saviour. Come into my life and be my Lord. Thank You for forgiving me and making me Your child. Amen.”

Go ye

Start at home, then go further

Our goal is to reach all of South Africa, and it begins small: in our own homes, then our streets, Sandton, Gauteng and beyond. “Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Our vision · the targets we're working towards

We start small, at home. The maps below aren't where we already are. They're where we believe God is taking us, one circle at a time.

  • Target, Gauteng: Soweto, Joburg CBD, Diepsloot, Tembisa, Pretoria (our "Judea")

Before you go

  • Pray first. Ask God to lead you to the right people and to give you boldness and love.
  • Go in twos. Jesus sent them out two by two (Luke 10:1). Never go alone.
  • Carry pamphlets. Print the Good News pamphlet above and keep a few in your bag.
  • Know your story. Practise saying how Jesus changed your life in one minute.

When you talk to someone

  • Start friendly. A smile, their name, a real question: “How can I pray for you today?”
  • Listen more than you speak. People open up when they feel heard.
  • Keep it simple. Use the four steps: God loves you, we've all sinned, Jesus paid for it, receive Him.
  • Invite, don't push. Offer to pray with them, and invite them to church on Sunday.

After you talk

  • Ask before taking details. Only with their OK: name, number and area.
  • Hand over to the Call Office. Log the contact in the app (Go Ye) the same day. They'll call within 48 hours.
  • Follow up kindly. A message on Saturday: “See you tomorrow at 08:45?”
  • Celebrate! Every conversation matters, even when someone says “not now”.

Stay safe

  • Go in daylight, to busy public places: malls, taxi ranks, parks, campuses.
  • Respect “no” straight away. Never argue.
  • Tell a leader where your team is going and when you'll be back.
  • Under 18? Always go with an adult leader.
